The Soldier Dad

He stood there moltan like wax,

As he heard that he was a father now.

His eyes were wet with tears of joy,

He wanted to be there, but didn’t know how..

His duty to the motherland held him back,

He was a soldier first, he knew in his heart.

But the same heart whispered that he was a human too,

From his emotions, how should he part?

Days, months and years flew by,

And the visits to home were few and rare

The achromatic journey of life moved on,

Of love from the family he missed his share.

The children grew up and moved on to new directions,

The wife still waited for togetherness though,

She knew he was the finest one,

Even if life’s boat alone she had to row.

Rock he was, strong and steady,

With his shoulders broad and wide.

His absence never meant he didn’t love them,

Just that his life wasn’t a very smooth ride.

A lover of life and its divine details, I chose many professions, but writing chose me. The word infinity has always stirred a quiet wonder in me, about where we come from, where we’re going, and what lies beyond. It is this wonder that fuels my words. A certified life coach, dentist, nutritionist, dietitian, content creator, and French language enthusiast, I wear many hats, but at heart, I’m a seeker. A seeker of meaning, of beauty, of the unseen stories that surround us. To me, life is not a destination, but a sacred process of continuous learning, feeling, and unfolding. This space, Poetry and Fitness, is where my passions meet: emotional well-being, physical health, parenting reflections, and poetic expression. Through every post, every poem, and every quote, I hope to spark thought, healing, and a sense of connection. Thank you for being here. Let’s grow, heal, and rise together.
