The Mushroom Brigade

The greens often lead me to dense woods,

To the wilds, that are  impenetrable and chaotic. 

Amongst the trees that appear haphazard to me,

Amongst the clouds that nearly look hypnotic

Today as I wandered once again in the morning

I witnessed an army going up a tree.

I questioned them inquisitively “Why can’t you be scattered?

Why are you disciplined even when absolutely free?”

“We don’t like to mess up this beautiful trunk”, they said.

It gives us support, nutrition and strength that we need.

Unlike humans who clutter the earth with utmost disrespect.

And tend to forget that she is not just the foundation but also the one who feeds.

I Am A Kid

It was pouring so I came back home,

To chat with and be next to mom.

She has always been there with a smile on her lovely face.

And I couldn’t help but sleep in her cozy embrace.

“Why can’t life always be so simple”, I asked her the next day.

“It is.” She replied with a smile. “We just complicate it in our own way.”

If you remain a child forever at heart, you will realise.

You don’t need to grow up to be happy and wise.

For its a kid who laughs n cries the most when needed.

It’s a kid who doesn’t think of tomorrow or what if life ceases.

It’s a kid who makes no conclusions just flows like a gentle breeze.

So just be a kid always, so that life’s best you can seize.

As I Row On

Amalgamating with the environment and situations that happened to happen,
Tides of time propelled me up and down,
Ceaselessly the winds have caressed me throughout the voyage,,
Never did I ever feel adrift; in fact I have been a queen, always held my crown.

Yes, at times I have been surrounded by crowds, known or unknown,
When the waves were rough, I was abandoned too,
But moments of despair never existed,I must say,                       

IF YOU ARE IN QUEST OF LIFE, YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN AND YOU ARE THE CREW.

Fear of losing has never dispirited me,
Never have I ever lost the same battle again,
I choose to learn each time I stumble,
I guess no rainbows appear in the absence of rain.

Excuses, explanations and regrets, have never been a part of my itinerary,
Else the ride becomes arduous and upstream as one moves on,
Walking  through the circumstances has enriched me manyfold,
It’s my life,  so with my choices I love to adorn. !!.

The Winter Of Life

With the winter setting in, I realised, it’s the time to get into a cosier nest.

Within me though, there was a different thought, should I keep myself zealous as ever or should I rest?

The people who go into hibernation once they reach the winters of their lives,

Never know how the fish is alive under the frozen river water and how a little bird who migrates over vast lands, thrives..!!

As we season we should remember where the next minute would take us we are unaware.

Then why to miss even insignificant moments as we age, why to just give away our share.

“But you were small last time..we met”.. she could not believe he was so tall,

The elder sister that she was, she was there for all his little falls.

They posed in front of the mighty sea as it embraced the sun ‘n it’s glory,

And the unstoppable waves, collided all around, to be a part of this beautiful story.

The gentle sea breeze tickled them and whispered as they smiled,

A sibling is always your best friend, grown up or as a child.

Trapped behind the glass, she whispered in my ears,

Before they confined me to these walls, I experienced no fears.

Incredible used to be my days, nights were phenomenal too,

Now I long for nothing, I am just a thing to view.

Can you tell me something, what’s wrong with you folks on earth?

First you got into our territories and then you got us here, where no one has any worth.

In the vastness of sea I freely flourished on my terms and conditions,

The water used to empower me , I never had to bother about my positions.

Nature exists abundantly for all, you care for her or not,

At least don’t take us away from her, what’s wrong with you, exactly what?

Stay Light

Synthesising melodious symphonies happens easy to a bamboo, it’s hollow though,

I wonder why humans always carry their weight too and fro.

If keeping your head in the centre n not too weighed up makes you succeed,

Then isn’t it easy to stay humble, and cheerful as you gracefully lead.

Animals, birds and plants must be contemplating each n every day,

If evolution means so much of misery and pride may it never come our way.

Away from the crowd she thought she should go, for the peace seemed to dwell there.

Aloud laughed at her, the mind, as it exclaimed… “the control lies within you, right here. “

So she wound up her thoughts and decided not to leave, but to ceaselessly stay on,

At the end of the day, she comprehended , everywhere it’s the same dusk n same dawn.

Let me not pause at the past or envisage the future, she enduringly decided,

And by her own consciousness, on a marvellous journey she was then guided.

The Folds

As time unfolded I realised,
The realm of joy and tears.
It’s a perspective that I had built,
Or maybe some inbuilt fears.


The people and the situations,
The good, bad, funny,
They seem too trivial now,
All weathers seem joyous, rainy, chilly or sunny.


Whilst these surrounded me,
For times beyond any measure,
Each phase of life has in it,
Experiences beyond a treasure.


Every being seems to respond in a way that he thinks is right,
For another one that may be a disaster or selfishness of a height.

.
To keep ourselves unbothered of the other people and their ways,
Just remind yourself that’s their life, don’t interfere, that’s what Karma says.
