If I Were a Story

If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

If I were a soul from a tale well known,
I’d be Elizabeth of Eat, Pray, Love, on my own.
Of duty and dreams, I weave every thread,
With verses I rise where others might tread.

In silence I wander, in rhythm I heal,
With laughter and love, I soften what’s real.
A seeker, a giver, with fire and grace
Writing my truth in life’s sacred space.

Where Movement Meets Meaning

What Olympic sports do you enjoy watching the most?

I seldom watch the games unfold,
The medals won, the stories told.
But grace in motion speaks to me
Like gymnasts floating weightlessly.

Or archers still, with focused aim,
Their silence whispering the flame.
I see in sport what poems show
A quiet strength, a steady flow.

A Bridge of Love

How would you improve your community?

For little feet and souls so wise,
A world of love before their eyes.
With hands that guide and hearts that cheer,
I’d fill their days with warmth and care.
Through laughter bright and stories told,
I’d bridge the young and hug the old.

Resilient and Renewed

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

I learned to yield, I learned to sway,
Like trees that bend but never fray.
I learned to introspect, observe, and grow,
To trust myself, to ebb and flow.

The bonds of family, strong and true,
Have deepened as we journeyed through.
The online world has made me see,
The value time holds precious and free.

The storm has passed, yet I remain,
Changed yet whole, through loss and gain

Uniquely Us

Which aspects do you think makes a person unique?

Each one of us is unique and free,
In dreams we chase, in truths we see.
With visions vast and paths our own,
No two souls are ever known.

Through hopes we hold and views we weave,
In all we cherish, all we believe.
A world within, a voice so true,
No one is me, no one is you.

Echoes of Earth

If you could have something named after you, what would it be?

Where words like rivers softly flow,
And weary hearts begin to glow.
A place where strength and verse unite,
To turn the dark to healing light.

The wounded paw, the weary wing,
The whispered pain of suffering.
Here, hands bring comfort, hearts impart,
A gentle touch, a mending art.

With every breath, with every rhyme,
We dance through space, we move through time.
To heal, to love, to set souls free,
A luminous bond eternally.

Forever

What makes you laugh?

Within my soul, a laughter sways,
A silent song in life’s ballet.
Storm or sunshine, rise or fall,
I find a jest within it all.

For life’s a stage, a fleeting show,
And I must dance where currents flow.
Yet in my core, untamed and free,
Laughter lives eternally.
