A Pursuit

From a nest in the small tree, she felt..happiness lives on the top branches,

As she started flying, her wings got stronger too..

From the higher stems, she could see the taller trees, far away..

Now happiness seemed in vicinity, and this one seemed really true.

She flew to the tallest tree and realised, something still needs to be achieved,

So she gathered herself once again..

In search of elation, she flew to the highest point..

But all her efforts went in vain.

Is sky the limit, she wondered,

If one wants reasons to be content and ecstatic.?.

‘Happiness is within you’, she eventually concluded,

All other places are just prismatic..!!
