She hides behind me as she says, “I don’t want to grow up Mom.! “
Would love that too yet helpless I am, ’cause Baby that’s the norm.
How proud I feel as you walk through each day with endurance wrapped in poise,
Your exuberance leaves no stone unturned and your presence has its own noise!
From a little girl to a beautiful young lady my child, you have grown,
Each colour of life in its truly miraculous form, to me you have shown.
It’s the time to move on, accomplish your goals and fulfill all desires,
Sail smooth in the ship of life and get, all that your heart aspires.
We will shield you little ones,
Said the tall’n experienced ones, generously…!
Shade, love, warmth ‘n shelter all was in abundance,
But it was just the space the young ones desired, obviously..!!
This is not what we handed over to you, the skies were blue, and so was the water,
The winter has gone chillier now, and the summers have turned hotter.
You are passing to these kids, the air so foul, the earth barren without trees,
A world where there is plenty of ego, no warmth of love in the breeze.
