Antiquated Grandeur

I could leaf through each year, from her radiant face,

It was seamed with wrinkles, which revealed it all,

Rest of the story was in abysmal depth of those beautiful eyes,

From where the drops could anytime fall.

She was a beauty of yesteryears,

I heard the people say,

Nevertheless i believe, the time had enthroned her,

In its own gracefully skillful ways.

Essence of Joy

“Run to be together, let’s not waste a second, let’s play,

Marbles have to be won my dear, let mother say whatever she may.

Delightful were those moments, the joy was boundless and so pure,

Marbles decided who was richer and smarter, about this unsaid truth we were sure.”

Soulful Confrontation

“As she started arranging her favorite dishes, she stumbled across the one,

Which queued the thoughts of yesteryears, and reminiscences just begun.

The echo of the running children, the breaking of many things,

Though all her dreams had come true, but the time certainly had the swiftest wings.”

Camouflaged Solitude

” It’s lonely up there at the pinnacle, it’s heat in the guise of alluring glow,

Nonetheless everyone tussles in the quest of happiness, even if the waxed zeal makes them melt and flow.”

Perspicuous Truth

“The sails go smoothly with the wind, with the arms open wide,

They have no fear where it takes them, calm sea or high tide.

That’s how the life is, simple and vivacious,

Just let yourself be, stand tall and gracious.”

Prismatic Endeavor

A Vivid Vision

As i danced, my colors danced along,

Together we sang, the most beautiful song.

My zeal and their exuberance created a fervor so profuse,

A plethora of possibilities, where there was nothing to lose.

No thoughts too deep , no emotions involved,

No intricate, life puzzles to be solved.

Social Networking

Outdoors, for us meant socializing, we have grown reciting, running and playing around,

Much deeper were the bonds that we built, ’cause instead of internet, existed the playground.

Feelings were true, expressions boundless, we cried the real tears,

Our legs used to give up, but never the hearts, we laughed without any fears.

We never bothered how we looked, how old was the shirt we wore,

The swings were our creation, the food was mother’s preparation, what could we ask for more?
