The way you held me close to you, and taught me how to write..

I wish the life would also let me color, with strokes light and bright.

Your being next to me, is my biggest strength you know,

Wish i could tell you how much i love you, and how much to you i owe.

In the folds of your sari somewhere, my childhood can still be found..

I know you still dream of me, and pray that i stay safe and sound.

This selfless love can be found, only in you, o dear mother..

Nobody can nurture a child so tirelessly, none another.

A dreamy flight

Every night as i close my eyes..

Away from the world of when and whys..

I feel the weightlessness, in my dreams..

I am so glad being away from shout and screams .

I sleep as me and the universe are one..

And me and my house, belong to planet none..

I am fortunate, says mother, to experience a sleep so sound..

When people look for corners, though the earth is round

Eyes Say It All..

Eyes can’t hide, they are poor at it..

They say it loud ‘n clear.

Transparency is their attitude,

Especially if you are a soul sincere.

They hate keeping secrets,

Have such a deafening roar,

That if you genuinely hear them,

You won’t need explications any more.

Guileless and pure, they are a tool so bare..

Chances of adulterating them are absolutely rare.

Clouds

As i see the clouds, scattered in the sky..

I am amazed at their efforts, each time they pass by.

For some they are apprehension, for some romantically bright..

To me they are the darks, trying to turn light.

For they carry the water, with a roar, all the way..

And sprinkle the droplets, wherever they may.

They are peaceful and serene once their task is done.

But till the work is over, they wait for none.

We promised, we will never be apart..

But time somehow kept us too busy.

Now that we meet each other again..

With gait so slow, and eyes a bit hazy.

I recollect you liked bright hues,

So i wore my coat, which is brightest..

And am sure you remembered i like the fawns..

So you dressed in the blazer that was lightest.

We have come a long way together,

Still moments spent with each other are so few..

I know that deep within, you know..

I always waited for this time, and its true.

Let’s make some memories now my dear,

For it’s never too late , they say..

Let’s be with each other now forever..

And spend each moment , in a very special way.
